Bollywood veteran Jeetendra, who was last seen making a special appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Om Shanti Om' in 2007, says that he has not made up his mind on making a comeback in acting as of yet. Although his contemporaries are still active in films, veteran actor Jeetendra is not in a mood to act any time soon.
"When I feel like acting again, I`ll definitely do a film. Right now I`m just not in the mood," the 69-year-old thespian told in an interview.
When quizzed about his contemporary Amitabh Bachchan`s age-defying role in "Buddah...Hoga Terra Baap", the actor said: "I`ve not seen the film, I want to and have made a plan with my friends."
So would he like to do a colourful and flamboyant role like that?
"That I can`t say right now. For that I need to first see the film, only then can I decide whether I would do a role like that or not," explained Jeetendra.
In terms of television, Jeetendra appeared in the serial 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' in the role of an old man. He was one of the judges on Indian dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' season two, alongside actress Urmila Matondkar and ace choreographer Shiamak Davar. He was also a judge, along with Hema Malini, of 'Dancing Queen'.The actor will be seen as a special guest on singing reality show - 'X Factor'.
“I used to watch this show and liked it. I was happy when I got to know that I have to come on the show. There is a lot of talent in our country that needs to be exploited”.
“When television became popular, reality shows started coming up and with such reality shows, people got a platform to show their talent. I feel there is more such hidden talent,” Jeetendra said.
